ASTON, Pa. – The Cabrini College field hockey team continued its hot offensive play this afternoon with a 6-2 road win at Neumann University.  It was the first CSAC game for both. The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-3, 1-0 in the CSAC.
Cabrini wasted little time opening the scoring. It took less than two minutes for freshman
Karlie Gruccio and junior
Lindsey Atzert to connect on a corner hit and the Cavaliers' first goal.
Neumann tied the score at one in the 21st minute, but the Cavaliers responded in the 23rd minute, when senior
Maura Gordon found junior
Taylor McGarvey for Cabrini's second goal off a corner.
The Blue and White went into halftime with a 2-1 lead, but whatever adjustments Cabrini head coach
Jackie Neary and her staff made certainly worked.  The Cavaliers exploded out of the break with three goals in the next 10 minutes.
Atzert found senior
Lauren Alessi for a goal just three minutes into the half. Forty seconds later, Alessi and Gordon hooked up for Cabrini's fourth goal of the day.
In the 45th minute, Gordon found McGarvey again on a corner.  The Cavaliers put the game away in the 64th minute when Alessi connected with Gordon.
Gordon finished the game with two goals and two assists, Taylor with two goals, and Alessi with one goal and two assists.
Sophomore goalie
Genevieve Paulin recorded five saves in the win.

The Cavaliers will host Immaculata University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
