RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team claimed its spot in Saturday's Colonial States Athletic Conference championship game today's 3-0 win over the visiting Neumann University Knights.  The victory improves the Blue and White's overall record to 10-7 on the season.
The Cavaliers will make the program's sixth consecutive appearance in the conference title game.  Cabrini will host second seeded Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday at Edith Robb Dixon Field at a time to be announced.  The Griffins earned a 3-1 win over third seeded Immaculata tonight. 
The game remained scoreless until the 22nd minute when senior 
Erin McLaughlin found sophomore 
Kerry Anne Farrell in front of the net for her first goal of the night.  Despite outshooting Neumann 8-2 in the opening 35 minutes, the Blue and White's advantage remained 1-0.
The Cavaliers continued to push the offensive tempo as junior 
Karlie Gruccio converted a cross from Farrell just under four minutes into the second half for a 2-0 lead.  Less than three minutes later, Farrell tallied her team-leading 19th goal as she collected a loose ball and fired it into the goal.  
The Blue and White fired 12 shots on the day, including eight on goal.  Gruccio led the way with five shots, while Farrell added four. Senior 
Genevieve Paulin recorded one save to record her second shutout of the season.  Junior 
Tori Canelli also recorded a defensive save after sprinting and making a diving stop.
