RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team extended its win streak to four games with today's 13-8 win over the No. 12 Denison University Big Red. The Cavaliers have now won six of their last seven contest, including four against Top 20 ranked teams, and stand at 7-3 overall.
Junior
Corey Elmer led the way with another career day. The junior tallied seven goals and nine total points in the win. His previous career best was four goals and nine points, both coming in Cabrini's season opening win over Haverford College. Sophomore
Damian Sobieski added three goals in the win.
The Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead as sophomore
Mike Leyden opened the scoring 2:33 into the game. Sobieski doubled the lead with an unassisted goal at the 7:08 mark. With 6:20 left in the first quarter, Elmer began his scoring spree with an unassisted tally. Elmer found sophomore
Anthony DiSanzo for a goal with just under five minutes to play in the period, extending Cabrini's lead to 4-0. Denison cut into the lead with a goal in the final 95 seconds of the period.
The Big Red added a pair of scored in the first five minutes of the second quarter before Elmer went on a scoring streak. The junior recorded a hat trick in the final 10 minutes of the second half, scoring unassisted goals at the 9:55, 3:05 and 0:11 marks. At the half, the Blue and White had control of the momentum and a 7-3 lead.
Siobieski opened the second half with his 50th career goal just 27 seconds into the third quarter. Following a Denison man-up goal, Sobieski completed his hat trick with his third man-up goal of the year. Elmer added his fifth of the game at the 9:17 mark extending the lead to 10-4. Denison added a a pair of goals, closing to within 10-6 after three quarters.
The Cavaliers sealed the game with three goals in the open 2:28 of the fourth quarter. Elmer returned to the net just 35 seconds into the period. After winning the subsequent faceoff, sophomore

The trio of senior Tyler King, junior Eddie Vita and sophomore Teddy Powell combioned for six of the Big Red's eight goals on the day. Rookie netminder Chris Thomas posted eight saves on the day.
The Cavaliers will return to conference play on Wednesday as they welcome the Rosemont Ravens to Edit Robb Dixon Field. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
