EWING, N.J. – The Cabrini field hockey team dropped its third consecutive game tonight, as the Cavaliers lost to No. 12 The College of New Jersey. The loss drops the Blue and White to 1-3 on the season.

The game remained scoreless for the first 14 minutes of play before the Lions broke through Cabrini's defense. TCNJ's Lindsey Hatch netted two goals in just over five minutes. Jaclyn Douglas added a third Lions' goal in the 25th minute.

The score remained 3-0 until the 38th minute when the Lions' Sarah Cummings tallied the game's final goal.

The Lions controlled the flow of play, as evidenced by a 25-5 shot advantage, including 19-2 in shots on goal. Junior Karlie Gruccio and sophomore Kerry Anne Farrell notched the shots on goal for the Blue and White.

Senior goaltender Genevieve Paulin recorded 13 saves on the night, while fellow senior Samantha LaMaina added two defensive saves.

The Cavaliers must wait until next Tuesday to get back on track when they travel to Doylestown, Pa. to face Delaware Valley College (3-0). Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
