DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team's comeback came up just short this afternoon at Delaware Valley, as the Cavaliers suffered a 3-2 loss, their fourth in a row. The nonconference loss drops the Blue and White to 1-5 on the season.

Kerry Anne Farrell on a penalty corner for Farrell's sixth tally of the year.
The Aggies took control of the game over the next 11 minutes, scoring three goals during that stretch to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
The score remained 3-1 until the 50th minute when Farrell found McLaughlin on a cross and the senior sent the ball into the net.
Cabrini continued to press for the game tying goal, firing seven shots and securing six penalty corners in the game's final 2 minutes. The Aggies defense was up to the task, specifically goaltender Sandra Edwards who recorded six of her 10 saves in the final 20 minutes.
While the Aggies owned a 10-4 advantage in shots at the break, the Blue and White turned up its offense, outshooting Delaware Valley 11-2 in the second half. Cabrini also forced 11 second half corner kicks to the Aggies' two.
Farrell acounted for six of Cabrini's 13 shots on goal, while senior goaltender
Genevieve Paulin recorded seven saves on the day.
Cabrini returns to action on Friday night as they travel to Chester, Pa. to face Widener University. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
