RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team opened Colonial States Athletic Conference play with a resounding 24-6 win over the visiting Immaculata University Mighty Macs.  The victory improves the Blue and White to a program best 8-0 and extends its CSAC win streak to 97, just five wins shy of the NCAA record.
Thirteen Cavaliers found the back of the net and 21 players recorded at least one point.  Senior 
Corey Elmer led the way with five points on three goals and two assists.  Sophomore 
Sebastian Kerslake recorded his first career goal and joined fellow sophomore 
Cole Campbell with career highs of three goals on the day.  Juniors

Damian Sobieski and 
Tyler Johnston also tallied three points each, combining for five goals and four assists.
The Blue and White took an early lead as Elmer's first goal came less than one minute into the action.  Cabrini struggled to extend its lead and immaculate took advantage.  A pair of Mighty Macs goals put the Cavaliers in a 2-1 hole with 2:21 left in the period.  Cabrini immediately responded as Leyden scored 14 seconds later and Campbell 51 seconds later, taking a 3-2 lead after 15 minutes.
The Cavaliers put found its rhythm in the second quarter, as it outscored Immaculata 5-0, including senior JoJo cooper's goal with 0.3 seconds to play before the halftime break.  Cabrini continued its scoring touch in the second half, as it recorded eight goals in both the third and fourth quarters, marking the third time this season the Blue and White has reached the scoring mark.

Freshmen goaltenders

The Cavaliers fired a season high 66 shots, including 45 on goal.  The club also scooped 68 ground balls, including 12 by junior 
Anthony DiNenno, who went 18-18 at the faceoff spot.  As a team, the Blue and White won 33 of 34 chances at the spot.
Senior Rocco Piliero led Immaculata (0-7, 0-1 CSAC) with three goals, while fellow senior Bhelly Bagbonon added two.   Freshman goaltender Brien Cullen recorded 14 saves in 30 minutes of play.
The Blue and White will return to action on Saturday, as No. 10 Ithaca College (7-1, 2-0 Empire 8) visits Edith Robb Dixon Field.  The nonconference tilt is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
