Last Meeting: Cabrini captures 4-0 victory over Pacers (9/30/2017)
Cabrini took control of the action in the early minutes, as it recorded three goals in a four minute span. Senior Maddy Worley opened the scoring in the ninth minute, as she redirected a crossing pass into the net. 

The Cavaliers added to their lead in the 12th minute, as senior Brittany Smith's penalty corner service found classmate Sara Johnsen for her second goal of the season.

The team's third goal came just 62 seconds later, as Worley scored her second goal of the day, punching the ball into the net after a scramble in front of the cage. Cabrini extended its lead in the opening minutes of the second half, as sophomore Katie Kucia found senior Jackie Neary who chipped the ball into the net.

The majority of the opening 35 minute period was played in the middle of the field, as the teams combined for just five shots and only one on target.

The Golden Wolves turned up its pressure after the halftime break, outshooting the Cavaliers 8-1 in the second half. Senior goaltender Taylor Bookman kept the score sheet clean, posting each of her six saves in the second half.

With the fans preparing to settle in for overtime, the Golden Wolves tallied the only score of the day, as junior Taylor Dorrin found senior Malorie McCoy with just nine ticks left on the clock.

Marywood Last Time Out: Cougars top Pacers in season finale (10/28/2017)
A goal in each half was all Misericordia University needed to defeat visiting Marywood University in non-conference field hockey action in what was the regular season finale for each team.

A unassisted tally from junior Michaela Halesey in the 11th minute of action proved to be the game-winner for the Cougars. Senior Colby Eldridge knocked in her 11th goal of the season in the 41st minute of play to provide the hosts with an insurance goal.

Misericordia held a 10-9 lead in shots, with both squads placing seven on goal.

  • The Cavaliers are riding a three game CSAC win streak heading into their game against Marywood.
