Last Meeting: Cortland 16, Cabrini 14 (3/26/16 Cortland, NY)
After scoring the game's first goal, the Red Dragons scored seven unanswered goals.  Goals by senior Evan Downey and sophomore Timmy Brooks briefly interrupted the run, before Cortland added another five to push its lead to 12-3.

Trailing 15-6 midway through the third quarter, Cabrini began its comeback.  The Blue and White netted eight goals in the final 21 minutes, including four man-up tallies, before its time ran out.

Brooks joined classmates Jordan Krug and Matt LoParo with four goals each, while LoParo and Krug added three assists each. LoParo and Brooks also secured four ground balls.

Senior T.J. deLyra and junior Devin Phelps tallied three goals each for Cortland, one more than junior Nate Beresovoy. Sophomore Joey Panariello scooped four ground balls, with four other Red Dragons accounting for three each.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Tied NCAA mark with 20-1 win over Rosemont (3/21/16, Radnor, PA)
Cabrini moved into the NCAA record book with Tuesday's 20-1 win over Rosemont. The victory marked the Blue and White's 102ns consecutive conference win, tying the NCAA mark held by Salisbury University.

Eleven Cavaliers marked the scorebook in the win, with senior Ryan Hannan, junior Zack Gregory, sophomore Bill Morgan and freshman Tyler Kostack notching three goals each.  Downey paired two goals and two assists, while freshman Drew Hanna served up five assists, just one helper shy of the program's single game record.

The Blue and White keyed its offense at the X, where sophomore Trey Critides won nine of his 11 chances, while junior Riley Michaels went 8-10.  Cabrini also secured a season high 46 ground balls, with 23 players scooping at least one.  Michaels led the team with 7, while freshman Harrison Schadt grabbed five.

Cabrini held the Ravens to a season low 11 shots, with six coming in the game's first quarter. Freshman Matt Nestler and sophomore Riley White combined for three saves between the Blue and White pipes, as just four of Rosemont's shots were on target.

SUNY Cortland Last Time Out: Rolled to a 16-5 win over Morrisville State (3/21/17, Cortland, NY)
The Red Dragons recorded 12 unanswered goals over a span of 33:09 to sail past Morrisville State. Cortland outshot Morrisville State 58-23, including 32-6 in the first and second quarters.  It also built a 32-9 advantage in ground balls before the half.

Phelps recorded a career high eight points, pairing three goals and five assists, while senior Andrew Gonzalez added three goals. Panariello chipped in with two goals and two helpers, while two others totaled three points each.

Junior Joe Scalilse and freshman Jake Craybas combined for five saves in the win. Senior Mike Hart went 12-16 at the faceoff spot and earned game high honors with eight ground balls, while classmate Dave Foster caused two turnovers and scooped five ground balls.

  • Nineteen Cavaliers have marked the scoring column this season, with Kostack, Krug, Downey and Brooks recording at least 14 goals.
  • Cabrini has completed successful clears in 104-111 (.937) opportunities, the second highest percentage in the country.
