Last Meeting: Cabrini 3, Immaculata 1 (10/18/2017, Radnor, PA)
The Cavaliers scored all three of its goals in a seven minute span of the first half en route to a 3-1 win over the Mighty Macs.
The Blue and White controlled much of the first half from the opening whistle, as it allowed the Mighty Macs to record just one first half shot. Cabrini opened the scoring in the 16th minute, when
Jackie Neary notched the first of her two goals on the night. Neary was on the business end of penalty corner passes from
Brittany Smith and junior
Katie Kucia.
Three minutes later,
Sara DeVita increased the lead, as she tipped in a pass from sophomore
Gabby Thompson for her third goal of the season.
Neary returned to the score book in the 23rd minute, as Smith and sophomore
Emily Manda found Neary on yet another penalty corner.
Cabrini Last Time Out: #5 TCNJ 8, Cabrini 0 (10/23/2018, Ewing, NJ)
TCNJ took control of the action from the opening whistle, as it grabbed the lead just 79 seconds into the game. The Lions doubled their lead at the 7:00 mark and held a commanding 3-0 lead less than 15 minutes after the opening whistle.
The Cavaliers trailed 5-0 after an opening 35 minute period that saw Cabrini outshot 17-1 and defend five penalty corners.
Cabrini never found its offensive footing, recording just one shot in the second half and finishing the game without a penalty corner.
Susquehanna Last Time Out: Wesley 2, Immaculata 0 (10/20/2018, Dover, DE)
The Mighty Macs and Wolverines played a possession based first half where neither team was able to settle into an offensive rhythm. Wesley had four corners and the Macs had two as the two teams combined for just five shots in a scoreless period
The hosting Wolverines finally broke through in the second half, however, as they tallied a pair of goals just 42 seconds apart. The two goals would prove plenty as the defense stifled the Mighty Macs attack en route to the shutout.
