Last Meeting: Red Devils hand Cavs first loss of the season (3/4/17, Carlisle, PA)
The Cabrini men's lacrosse team scored five consecutive goals to erase a 5-2 lead, but the Cavaliers were outscored 6-3 in the second half.  Dickinson scored the game's final three goals to claim a 11-9 victory.

Evan Downey and junior Timmy Brooks led the Cavaliers with three goals each, while recording seven shots each. Sophomore Tommy DeLuca and senior Zack Gregory shared team high honors with Downey, as all three claimed three ground balls. Gregory added an assist and went 5-12 at the faceoff spot, while DeLuca caused a pair of turnovers.

Downey put the Blue and White on the board with a man-down goal before Brooks found sophmore Mike Gerzabek to even the score at 2-2 with just under five minutes left in the period. Dickinson regained the momentum, scoring two goals in the final 3:46 of the first quarter. The Red Devils extended their scoring run into the second quarter to build a 5-2 lead. 

Cabrini responded in a big way with five unanswered goals to grab a 7-5 lead in the opening minute of the third quarter. 

The Red Devils forced the fourth tie of the game with a goal to even the score at 8-8 heading in the final 15 minutes of action and recorded the final three goals of the day, before turning to its defense to seal the win.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Krug's last minute goal seals win over #16 Lynchburg (2/24/2018, Radnor, PA)
Junior attack Jordan Krug scored the game-winning goal with just 24 seconds left to propel the Blue and White to the thrilling win.

The 2018 US Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Player of the Year led the Cavs with three goals and a team high 5 points. Sophomore Matt LoParo tallied four points and two goals, while sophomore Jake Klein tied Krug with three goals of his own.

With the Blue and White holding a 4-1 advantage after the first quarter, the Hornets responded with four straight goals to steal the lead at 5-4 with just under seven minutes left in the half.

Back-to-back goals from junior Nicholas Waligurski sparked the Cavs as Loparo and Klein followed with two goals of their own to reclaim the lead at 8-5. A late goal from Lynchburg's Evan Lombardo with 33 seconds left trimmed the Cavs lead to 8-6 heading into the intermission.

The Blue and White extended their lead to 14-10 at the end of the third when Lynchburg mounted a fourth quarter rally and evened things at 15 apiece with just 1:13 the play.

Senior Riley Michaels came up big in the ensuing faceoff as gave sophomore Kevin Leyden a chance to corral the loose ball and quickly get it into Lynchburg's zone to call a timeout. Coming out of the break, Kostack found Krug just to the right of the net for the game clinching goal with just 24 seconds remaining.

Dickinson Last Time Out: Red Devils roll Montclair St. 25-8 (2/24/2018, Carlisle, PA)
Dickinson men's lacrosse erupted with 12 goals in the third quarter to roll past visiting Montclair State in the Red Devils' home opener, 25-8. 

Leading 10-6 midway through the second quarter, Dickinson added three late goals before halftime to take a 13-6 lead. Dickinson used a balanced attack in the third quarter as 10 different players found twine to put the Devils in front, 25-7.

A late goal in the fourth from Montclair St. gave way to the 25-8 final as Dickinson cruised to their second win of the season.

  • Cabrini has won three of the last four meetings in the series, with the loss coming in last season's 11-9 defeat. 
  • The Cavaliers tallied 10 assists on 16 goals against Lynchburg.
  • The Blue and White have just one failed clear through two games, as they have been successful on 32-33 attempts.
  • Krug and Klein have combined for 12 of the Cavs' 26 goals this season. 
  • Dickinson was just one of three opponents last season to out shoot the Cavaliers as they held a 45-38 advantage.
