Cabrini tallied four consecutive goals to turn a 6-4 third quarter deficit into an 8-6 lead with 9:27 to play. The Bombers responded with three goals in the final 3:14, including the game-winner with just 63 ticks left on the clock.

The Cavaliers were outshot 44-26 and committed 24 turnovers, with all three totals ranking among the team's worst of the 2015 campaign.

Mike Leyden paced the Blue and White attack with three goals and an assist.  Tyler Johnston added two goals and a helper, while Cole Campbell matched Johnston's three points on a goal and two assists. Tyler Morrell recorded 15 saves on the day.

John Januszkiewicz led Ithaca (8-2) with four goals and two assists, including the game-tying goal with 2:52 to play, while goaltender Scott Sidham notched nine saves. James Manilla scored both of his goals in the final 3:14, including the game-winner.

Trailing 2-0 midway through the first period, the Cavaliers' offense found its rhythm, scoring 14 of the game's next 17 goals to build a 14-5 lead in the fourth quarter. The Blue and White outscored the Red Devils 8-2 in the third quarter alone, with six Cavaliers marking the scoring column.

Juniors Mike Gerzabek and Jakob Klein led Cabrini's attack, scoring three goals each and combining for 15 of the team's 47 shots.  Senor Nicholas Waligurski and junior Tyler Kostack posted two goals each, as eight Cavaliers marked the scoring column.

Senior goaltender Riley White earned the victory in the Blue and White cage, recording 14 saves, while classmate Cassius Christie added a pair of saves in relief. Junior Tommy DeLuca anchored the defensive effort with four caused turnovers, four ground balls and his second career goal. Sophomore Luke McCallion went 11-24 at the faceoff spot and scooped a team-high six ground balls.

Trailing 7-5 at the half, the Bombers erupted for five consecutive second half goals to build a 10-7 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Senior Josh Della Puca keyed the comeback, assisting or scoring four of those goals.

Della Puca finished the day with five points on two goals and three helpers, while junior Ryan Ozsvath and sophomore Dillon Fitzpatrick combined for five goals and a pair of helpers. Junior Aaron McCartney caused five Geneseo turnovers, two more than sophomore Connor Brumfield, while both were among a quintet of Bombers to scoop four ground balls.

Freshman goaltender Connor Thornton paired 17 saves a game-high five ground balls to earn the victory.

  • The Cavaliers enter Saturday's action with the nation's 25th ranked scoring offense (16.0 goals per game) and 16th ranked scoring defense (6.0 goals per game allowed).
