What's At Stake?
Wednesday's winner will advance to the programs' first ever NCAA Tournament semifinal, where they will meet No. 2 Salisbury (21-1) or No. 9 Denison (18-2) on Sunday.

Wednesday will mark Cabrini's fourth appearance in the national quarterfinal round, joining appearances in 2008, 2012 and 2017. In each of its three previous appearances, the Blue and White suffered losses at Salisbury.

Wednesday's game will mark the second consecutive season that the Spartans have advances to the quarterfinal, after suffering a 12-7 loss at RIT in last year's tournament.

How Cabrini Got Here
The Blue and White was the only team in the 36 team tournament to earn a Pool B berth, selected from a group of true independents and schools from conferences that do not have an automatic bid for their champions.

Cabrini ranks as one of the nation's top two-way teams, as the club boasts the nation's third ranked scoring defense (6.14 goals per game) and the ninth ranked scoring offense (17.24 goals per game). The Cavaliers also rank in the nation's top 20 in 14 other statistical categories, including scoring margin, assists, points and turnovers.

Winners of 12 consecutive games, the Blue and White sport a balanced offensive attack that includes five players with at least 40 points. Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year senior Jordan Krug leads the way with 97 points on 63 goals and 34 points, while junior Jakob Klein leads the club with 43 helpers to go with 31 goals for 74 points.

Senior goaltender Riley White mans the Cabrini pipes and ranks as one of the nation's best. The senior ranks second in the nation with a 6.07 goals against average and sports a .583 save percentage with 147 saves on the year.

Atlantic East Conference Defensive Player of the Year Tommy DeLuca anchors a stingy Blue and White defense that averages 12.81 caused turnovers per contest, 15th in the country. The junior ranks 21st in the country with 2.67 forced miscues per game, while seniors Nick Vass and Sean Wagner and junior Kyle Myers have forces at least 19 each.

The Cavaliers often spark their offensive attack at the faceoff spot, where they boast a .57 win percentage. Sophomore Luke McCallion has won more than .600 of his chances, while freshman Jake Huey has claimed 92 of his 136 opportunities.

How York Got Here
The Spartans are making their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance after receiving one of eight Pool C bids. York entered the tournament after suffering a 13-7 loss at Salisbury in the championship game of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament.

York rebounded to score an 18-11 win over Stockton in the second round then topping Washington & Lee 14-12 in Saturday's third round match-up.

The Spartans have built their success on one of the nation's top defenses, as the club ranks 11th in the country, allowing just 7.57 goals per contest. Freshman goaltender Jack Michael is a key component in the unit, as the rookie's 7.5 goals against average ranks eighth in Division III.  The club also boasts three players with north of 25 caused turnovers on the season in seniors JD Beck (33) and Kevin Witchey (26) and junior Ryan Kennedy (29).

Offensively, York is led by a trio of seniors who have combined to score 216 of the team's 442 points on the season. Thomas Pfeiffer leads the way with a team high 85 points on 51 goals and 34 helpers. Classmate Hunter David tops the team table with 55 goals, while his 25 dimes and 80 points rank behind Pfeiffer. Brendan McGrath adds 51 points on 39 goals and 12 assists.

Fellow senior Billy Sasso has been solid at the faceoff X all season, winning nearly .620 of his chances with a team-high 139 ground balls against just nine turnovers.

Last Meeting: No. 6 York 11, No. 5 Cabrini 7 (3/22/2019, York, PA)
The Cavaliers struggled to get their offensive going in the first half, as York took advantage, building a 6-0 halftime lead. Cabrini faced its largest deficit of the season, 10-2, heading into the fourth quarter.

Cabrini rallied with five unanswered goals before a late York goal sealed the Spartans' victory.

The Cavaliers' 38 shots, 27 ground balls, nine caused turnovers and three faceoff wins remain among the team's lowest production of the season.

Junior Mike Gerzabek led the Blue and White with three goals, while classmate Tyler Kostack paired a goal and three helpers. Senior Bill Morgan also marked the scoring column twice.

DeLuca marked career highs with seven caused turnovers and nine ground balls to go with an assist, while seniors Vass and Wagner scooped three ground balls each. White suffered the loss despite making 13 saves.

Pfeiffer anchored the Spartans' attack with three goals and four assists, while Davis and freshman Eban Ordakowski added two goals each. Michael matched White with 13 saves in the York cage.

Cabrini Last Time Out: No. 6 Cabrini 15, Springfield 8 (5/11/2019, Radnor, PA)
After a tightly contested opening 30 minutes, The Blue and White turned up its offensive pressure in the third quarter, scoring the first three goals of the period to extend its lead to 9-5. Two more Springfield goals cut the lead in half before a Kostack man-up goal pushed Cabrini's lead back to 10-7 with 15 minutes to play.

Sophomore Kyle Tucker opened the fourth quarter with back to back goals before Kostack, Tucker and Krug marked the final goals of the day, as Cabrini pulled away with a 5-1 fourth quarter.

Krug led the Blue and White attack with eight points on five goals and three assists, giving him 339 for his career, passing Casey Grugan's (2007-10) previous mark of 334. Tucker posted five goals, Kostack added four goals, with both adding assists.

McCallion controlled the faceoff spot, winning 17 of the game's 27 draws and earning game-high honors with 10 of the team's 37 ground balls.

The Blue and White also displayed a stifling defensive effort, holding the Pride to just 26 shots and pressuring it into 21 turnovers. Myers paired three caused turnovers and three ground balls, while sophomore Nick Werner caused two miscues. White anchored the effort 10 saves and four ground balls.

York Last Time Out: No. 4 York 14, No. 13 Washington & Jefferson 12 (5/11/2019, York, PA)
After an even first half, Tyler Nation found Davis at the 11:12 mark of the third quarter to give York a slim 7-6 lead. Less than two minutes later, Dylan Wolf notched an unassisted goal to give the home squad a two goal cushion.

York carried its two goal lead into the fourth quarter, when Gunnar Reynolds, Ryan Kennedy and Davis scored the first three goals of the period to extend the lead to 13-8 with just under 10 minutes to play. The Generals responded with three goals of their own, pulling to within 13-11 with 7:09 to play.

Sasso won the ensuing faceoff and put the Spartans up 14-11 nine seconds later. York then turned to its defense to secure the victory. The team fought off a pair of late penalties and held W&L to just four shots over the final six minutes.

Davis Led the Spartans with four goals, while Brad Casale added three. Reynolds matched Davis with four points on a goal and three helpers, while Pfeiffer tallied a trio of dimes.

Michael claimed the victory with eight saves, while Beck accounted for three of the team's five cause turnovers. Sasso went 17-29 at the faceoff spot and scooped a game high 11 ground balls.
