This is the 18th consecutive NCAA appearance for the Cavaliers, who will look to advance to at least the third round for the 11th time in the last 12 years. Last season, the Blue and white advanced to the third round before suffering a 12-7 loss to eventual national champion Wesleyan.
DeSales will make its first NCAA Tournament appearance on Wednesday.
How Cabrini Got Here
The Blue and White was the only team in the 36 team tournament to earn a Pool B berth, selected from a group of true independents and schools from conferences that do not have an automatic bid for their champions.
Cabrini ranks as one of the nation's top two-way teams, as the club boasts the nation's third ranked scoring defense (6.16 goals per game) and the eighth ranked scoring offense (17.47 goals per game). The Cavaliers also rank in the nation's top 21 in 12 other statistical categories, including scoring margin, assists, points and turnovers.
Winners of 10 consecutive games, the Blue and White derives its success with a balanced attack that features seven players with at least 20 goal on the season. Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year senior
Jordan Krug leads the way with 54 goals and 84 total points. Classmate
Bill Morgan's 39 goals are good for send on the team, while junior
Jakob Klein leads the conference with 39 dimes.
Senior
Riley White mans the Cabrini pipes and ranks as one of the nation's best. The senior ranks third in the nation with a 6.08 goals against average and sports a .575 save percentage with 126 saves on the year.
Atlantic East Conference Defensive Player of the Year
Tommy DeLuca anchors a stingy Blue and White defense that averages 12.74 caused turnovers per contest. The junior leads the league with 51 forced miscues, while seniors
Nick Vass and
Sean Wagner and junior
Kyle Myers have forces at least 15 each.
The Cavaliers often spark their offensive attack at the faceoff spot, where they boast a .590 win percentage. Sophomore
Luke McCallion has won nearly .600 of his chances, while freshman
Jake Huey has claimed 88-132.

How DeSales Got Here
After going 5-10 a season ago, DeSales is enjoying a season of firsts. The Bulldogs have won a program record 17 games and will make their inaugural NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the program's first ever MAC Freedom championship on Saturday.
The Bulldogs rely in a stingy defense, that has surrendered just 7.56 goals per game and caused 15.5 turnovers on the season. Junior Frank Krug leads the unit with an NCAA-leading 5.06 caused turnovers per game and 130 ground balls.
Senior goaltender Matt Barry also plays a significant role in the team's success, as his .605 save percentage and 7.61 goals against average rank ninth and 11th in the country, respectively.
Senior Joe Neggia and sophomore Zach Bowen lead an attack that features six players with north of 25 points on the season. Both have recorded more than 50 goals, while freshman Tom Connors has served up a team high 29 helpers.
Sophomore Colin Corrado has been solid at the X for the Bulldogs, boasting a .523 win percentage with 73 ground balls.
Last Meeting: Cabrini 19, DeSales 3 (March 19, 2003, Center Valley, PA)
Saturday will mark the fifth meeting between Cabrini and DeSales and the first since 2003. The Cavaliers have won three of the previous meetings, including both at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 21, Gwynedd Mercy 6 (5/3/2019, Radnor, PA)
The Blue and White raised its 19th consecutive conference title and first in Atlantic East Conference on Saturday with a dominant performance in a 21-6 win over Gwynedd Mercy.
Krug was named Most Valuable Player after recording career highs of 11 points and seven assists to go with four goals. Sophomore
Kyle Tucker match career highs with five goals and seven points, while junior
Jakob Klein matched Krug's four goals.
The Cavaliers sparked much of their success at the faceoff spot, where they won 21 of the game's 31 draws. Sophomore
Luke McCallion went 10-15, while freshman
Jake Huey claimed eight of his 11 chances as both matched Krug and junior
Tommy DeLuca with five ground balls.
Senior goaltender
Riley White recorded eight saves in his 45 minutes of action to secure the victory, while senior
Cassius Christie and junior
Matt Nestler added four stops each in relief.
The Cavaliers never allowed the Griffins to find their collective footing, as Cabrini scored the game's first seven goals and held the visitors scoreless for the game's first 19 minutes. Following two GMercyU goals, the Cavaliers put the game away with a 10-0 run, keeping the Griffins off the board for nearly 21 minutes.
DeSales Last Time Out: DeSales 14, Eastern 13 (5/3/2019, St. Davids, PA)
The Bulldogs avenged their only loss of the season, a 10-7 loss at Eastern in the regular season finale, when it mattered most. Desales fought off a furious late rally to score its first conference title with a14-13 win.
After leading 6-5 at the half, DeSales erupted for five third quarter goals to take an 11-6 lead. Eastern netted two markers early in the fourth, but sophomore Dylan Valinchus and Neggia pushed the lead back to four goals with 6:43 to play.
The Bulldogs seemed to ice the win on freshman Kai Taylor's empty net goal with 3:16 to play, but Eastern had other ideas. The Eagles scored three straight goals, pulling within 14-13 with 27.7 seconds remaining.
Eastern won the ensuing faceoff, but Frank Krug caused his sixth turnover of the game to seal the title.
Bowen claimed MVP honors after tallying two goals and a helper, while Connors added four goals and an assist.  Krug finished with a monster game, adding seven ground balls to his six caused turnovers, while Barry posted 13 saves.
