The Blue and White used a four goal spurt in the first quarter to gain control of the action before two late second quarter goals pulled the Tigers to within 5-3 at the half.
Holding its three goal cushion midway through the third quarter,
Jordan Krug and senior
Jake Klein combined for four goals in a two minute span to push the Cabrini cushion to 11-4 with 6:33 left in the third. The Cavaliers put the game on ice in the fourth with five unanswered goals.
Cabrini outshot the Tigers 51-26 in the win and won 21 of the game's 29 faceoffs. Sophomore
Jake Huey controlled the faceoff spot going 18-25 with 11 ground balls.
Klein matched a career high with nine points on three goals and six assists in the win, while classmates
Ty Kostack and
Mike Gerzabek matched junior
Kyle Tucker with three points each.
Junior Jake Medwar led H-SC with three goals, while classmate Jake O'Brien added a pair of assists. Senior goaltender Nick Arcuri suffered the loss despite notching 17 saves.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Ithaca 11, No. 3 Cabrini 9 (3/7/2020, Ithaca, NY)
The Cavaliers saw their 18 game win streak come to an end on Saturday, as the Cavaliers could not overcome a two goal deficit early in the fourth quarter.

Kohl Wesner and senior
Matt LoParo gave the Blue and White a 4-2 lead and momentum with 6:43 left in the second quarter. Two consecutive Bombers' tallies evened the score three minutes later, as the game headed into the halftime break tied at 5-5.
The both teams exchanged goals in the third, but an Ithaca goal with 2:25 left in the period broke a 7-7 tie and sent the Cavaliers into the fourth quarter trailing 8-7. Ithaca added another goal early in the fourth to build a two goal cushion.
Despite pulling within one goal twice in the fourth and recording five of its nine fourth quarter shots in the final four minutes, Cabrini could not pull even on the scoreboard.
Gerzabek paced the Cabrini attack today, netting three goals, while LoParo and Wesner added two goals each. Klein and Tucker recorded a goal and an assist each, while Kostack handed out a pair of assists.

Hampden-Sydney Last Time Out: Hampden-Sydney 16, Shenandoah 9 (3/7/2020, Winchester, VA)
The Tigers outshot Shenandoah 19-7 in the third quarter and outscored the Hornets 9-1 over a 17 minute period to break open a tight contest.
After falling behind 2-0 late in the first quarter, the Tigers found some rhythm, building 5-2 lead midway through the second. Shenandoah rallied late to pull within 6-5 at the halftime break.
The Tigers blew the game open in the third and the opening three minutes of the fourth. Six Tigers marked the scoring column during a 16 minute, 9-1 spurt, with O'Brien and classmate Charlie Doetzer joining sophomore Bobby Clagett with two goals during the run.
O'Brien led the H-SC attack with five goals and an assist, while Hayden added two goals and three helpers. Doetzer and sophomore Sean Duffy combined for eight points, with Clagett closing the day with three goals.
Junior Jake Brummett dominated the faceoff spot to the tune of 22 wins in 26 chances with 19 ground balls. Arcuri scored the victory with 15 saves.
