RADNOR, PA – After nearly 22 months from their last game action, the Cabrini field hockey team will make its 2021 debut on Wednesday, Sept. 1 under the lights at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
Head coach
Jackie Neary will lead her squad back into action as it opens 2021 with a home date against Delaware Valley. The Blue and White will then make its annual trip to Madison, NJ for the Drew Fall Festival, where it will face the host Rangers and Ithaca.
The Cavaliers will visit Widener, Gettysburg and TCNJ before returning to its home pitch to face Stockton. Following a trip to Swarthmore and home games against Rowan and Stevens, Cabrini will open Atlantic East Conference action as it plays host to reigning conference champion Marywood.
Six days later, Cabrini will face three games in a six day span, beginning with a nonconference home date against Alvernia on Oct. 12 before visiting Neumann one day later and Immaculata on Oct. 16.
The Cavaliers will close their conference slate on Oct. 23 against Gwynedd Mercy before facing Susquehanna at home and St. Mary's (MD) on the road in their regular season finale.
The top six teams in the conference table will qualify for the league's postseason tournament, slated to open on Oct. 30. The tournament will continue with the semifinal round on Nov. 3 and championship on Nov. 6.
Neary will rely on an experienced club, as the Cavaliers look to continue their postseason run.
