RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University field hockey team begin its run in the 2022 Atlantic East Conference Field Hockey Championships on Wednesday, as the second-seed Cavs (12-4) plays host to the third-seeded Marywood University Pacers (6-11) at 4 p.m. at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The winner will take on the victor from the other semifinal contest on Wednesday, fifth-seeded Immaculata and top-seeded St. Mary's of Maryland on Saturday for the AEC title.
Cabrini defeated Marywood 4-1 back on October 19 in Scranton, with four different Cavs scoring in the contest.
The Cavs are led by Caroline Gallagher who has team-highs in goals (20), assists (11) and points (51). Adrianna Jones is second on the squad in points (38), assists (7) and goals (13). Courtney Keith has a 1.54 GAA with 65 saves.
Marywood is led by Brianna Sumner who has a team-high six goals, while Lauren Youngken had five goals and eight assists for a team-high 18 points. In goal, Rachel Yohn has 107 saves and a 2.61 GAA.
