Scouting the Patriots
The Patriots enter Tuesday's contest with an overall record of 1-9, with their lone victory coming by way of a 13-9 decision over Clarks Summit University. The early going hasn't been kind to the Patriots as they are being outscored 45-182 by their opponents so far and are allowing an average of 18.2 runs per game.

While the Patriots roster only features 14 players, they have proven their ability to score runs. The Red and Blue are led by Jeffery Espinal and Cody Rak, who are both hitting better than a .400 average and lead the team in nearly every statistical category. Espinal has been especially hot lately as the Freshman has racked up nine hits in his last five games to bring his average up to .464. Rak meanwhile, leads the Patriots in doubles (6), RBI's (7), and OBP (.613) and his batting an impressive .419.

Pitching has been the struggle for Valley Forge as all but one player has an ERA north of 10.0 and as a unit have walked 100 batters in 10 games.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Defeated Eastern 12-6 (3/8/17)
The Cavaliers christened their new field with a 12-6 win over rival Eastern University thanks to an offensive outburst. The Blue and White hung 12 runs on the Eagles in a shortened seven inning game (darkness) and struck for seven in the fifth inning alone to climb back over the .500 mark.

The Cavaliers found production from top to bottom in their lineup as six different players record at least one RBI in last Wednesday's game. Tyler Norris paced the Cavs as the sophomore finished the day 3-3 with two runs, two RBI's and a walk for good measure. Erick Vicario continued to be an effective table setter as he reached base four times and came around to score all but once, finishing 2-3 with three runs and two walks.

Valley Forge Last Time Out: Defeated by Benedict 35-0 (3/10/17)
The Patriots allowed runs in all seven frames and were down 9-0 after the first two innings. Benedict allowed only two Patriot hits, coming off the bats of Landyn Traffas and Marcus Fultz.
