Last Meeting: Giants Take Two of Three From Cavaliers (3/24/17-3/25/17)
After a close 4-3 loss in the opening game of the series, the Cavaliers bounced back in game two with a 3-2 final to even the series at one apiece.Â
In the game two victory, the Blue and White played arguably their most complete game of the season as they handed a veteran laden Keystone team their first conference loss since April 23, 2016.
Ryan Givens threw an effective three plus innings for the Cavs, as he allowed just four hits, two earned runs and picked up three strikeouts.
Alex Del Giudice, who picked up the win, came on in relief of Givens in the top of the fourth in a bases loaded jam with nobody out. The freshman was masterful as he induced a 6-4-3 double play and a routine grounder toÂ
Dylan Butler at third to escape the jam allowing only one run to score and maintaining the lead for the Cavs. Del Giudice finished out the game for Cabrini as he threw four shutout innings and allowed just three hits.Â
Cabrini Last Time Out: Diamond Cavs Stifle Aggies Bats for 3-1 Victory (4/4/18)
Pitching led the way for the Blue and White as head coachÂ
Nick Weisheipl used six hurlers in total across the nine inning game. SeniorÂ
Josh Breittholz earned the start and tossed three innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run.
FreshmanÂ
Drew Swire locked up his first career victory in the Blue and White thanks to two innings of solid relief, while juniorÂ
Tyler Ronayne shut the door in the ninth for his third save of the season.
Junior'sÂ
Tyler Norris andÂ
John Lindeborn paced the Cavalier offense as Norris' two run homer in the 6th served as the big blow. Lindeborn's 2-4 effort raised his average to .292 on the year, while also pushing his OBP to a sold .410.Â
The Aggies struck first in the top of the third after Kevin Crill singled through the right side and was moved to second via a sacrifice bunt from Ben Lippincott. A double down the left field line from Luke Hendricks plated Crill and gave DelVal the early 1-0 lead.Â
The score would stand until the bottom of the sixth when the Blue and White jumped on Aggie's reliever Sean McFadden. After sophomoreÂ
Joe Aurite worked out a walk, Norris made his counterpart pay with a deep shot to left center to put the Cavs up 2-1.
The Blue and White quickly loaded the bases following the home run as freshmanÂ
JD Barrett, Lindeborn and seniorÂ
Dylan Butler rattled off three consecutive singles. After a flyout from rookieÂ
Mack McKisson, seniorÂ
Brett Kuchera stepped into the box and took a pitch on the hip to force home Cabrini's third run of the inning.Â
Keystone Last Time Out: River Hawks Snap Giants' Nine Game Win Streak (4/5/18)
Susquehanna belted out 15 hits, including three each by freshman Steve Lorenz and sophomore Craig Roumes and two apiece by sophomore
 Justin Miller
 and freshmen
Jack Carroll and Luke Tuttle. The River Hawks erased an early 1-0 lead on an RBI double by Lorenz and an RBI single by freshman Ryan Casey in the second inning and added two more in the sixth when Roumes drove in two runs with a single.
In the seventh, Miller drove in a run with a double to ignite a two-run rally and Lorenz added an RBI single for an insurance run in the eighth.
The 15 hits by the River Hawks was the second most hits allowed by the Giants this season and snapped their nine game win streak in the process.Â
