Scouting the Red Devils
Dickinson, like the Cavaliers, are off to a blazing start to the 2019 season as they currently sport a 12-2 overall record and have won six in a row. The Red Devils opened the season with a pair of dominant victories over Albright as they outscored the Lions 27-6 in the double header.Â
Dickinson boasts a high powered offense that has scored less than six runs in just four games and have averaged 8.4 runs per game in the early going. As a team, the Red Devils sport a .355 batting average, .434 OBP and a .517 SLG%. The sophomore duo of Alex Cohen and Joey Volpe has proved deadly as they lead the team in RBI's at 15 and 11, respectively. Alex Jacobson paces the offense with a .457 average and has added three doubles and three triples. Â
As a staff, Dickinson pitchers have worked to a 4.33 ERA, but have struck out an impressive 116 batters in 104 innings. Senior Ben Rappaport has been especially effective as he has yet to allow a run in 12.2 innings and already has already logged one of the team's two complete games, while striking out 21 batters.Â

Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 13, Eastern 1 (3/19/19)
The Cavaliers cruised in a 13-1 victory over the Eagles and were led offensively by juniorÂ
Henry Peguero. The backstop finished the day 2-3 with two RBI's and a run scored. Peguero was one of five Cavs to record two hits.Â

Justin Henry (2-4, 1R, 1RBI), along with juniorsÂ
Juan Familia (2-4) andÂ
Chris Santana (2-2) rounded out the Cavaliers with two hits. FreshmenÂ

Brandon Loner (0-3, 2RBI), as well as sophomoreÂ
Steven Priest (1-5, 2R, 2RBI) all collected two RBI's.Â
The Blue and White received a strong start on the bump from juniorÂ
Kyran Weemaels who tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just five hits, while striking out six. The victory was his second of the season.Â
Cabrini jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning thanks to an RBI single from McKisson and a pair of sac flies from Henry and Loner. An RBI single from Peguero capped the inning for the Blue and White.Â
The Cavaliers added a run in the second and two in the third to push their lead to a comfortable seven runs in the early going and busted the game open in the sixth following a four run inning. Priest started the rally with a deep double to right center to plate McKisson and Laraia, while Peguero followed with another RBI double to right center to bring home Henry. An RBI ground out from Loner capped the Cavs' scoring in the inning.Â
Cabrini would go on to add two more runs in the top of the ninth and cruise to the eventual 13-1 final.Â
Dickinson Last Time Out: Dickinson 10, Brockport 6 (3/20/19)
Teddy Reddington went 5.2 innings to earn the win while Ethan Collins collected the save with a solid performance in relief, booking five strikeouts in a two-hit effort, going 2.1 innings before Tommy Koide came on to close things out in the ninth.
Pat Davis finished the day 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, a run scored and a walk. Brendan Pell went 3-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two runs while Ben Carter finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Freshman Tom Gannaway went 3-for-4 at the plate, earning the start at shortstop.
