Pitching led the way for the Blue and White as head coachÂ
Nick Weisheipl used six hurlers in total across the nine inning game. SeniorÂ
Josh Breittholz earned the start and tossed three innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run. The veteran's ERA sits at a tidy 1.02 across 17.2 innings.Â
FreshmanÂ
Drew Swire locked up his first career victory in the Blue and White thanks to two innings of solid relief. JuniorÂ
Tyler Ronayne shut the door in the ninth for his third save of the season.Â
JuniorÂ
Tyler Norris paced the Cavalier offense as he delivered a two run homer in the 6th to highlight his day at the dish.Â
The Aggies struck first in the top of the third after Kevin Crill singled through the right side and was moved to second via a sacrifice bunt from Ben Lippincott. A double down the left field line from Luke Hendricks plated Crill and gave DelVal the early 1-0 lead.Â
The score would stand until the bottom of the sixth when the Blue and White jumped on Aggie's reliever Sean McFadden. After sophomoreÂ
Joe Aurite worked out a walk, Norris made his counterpart pay with a deep shot to left center to put the Cavs up 2-1.
The Blue and White quickly loaded the bases following the home run as sophomoreÂ
JD Barrett, Lindeborn and
Dylan Butler rattled off three consecutive singles. After a flyout from sophomoreÂ
Mack McKisson,
Brett Kuchera stepped into the box and took a pitch to the hip to force home Cabrini's third run of the inning.Â
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 12, Marywood 5 (4/22/19)
The nightcap featured more offense between the two teams as the Pacers used 11 hits for five runs, but it proved not enough as the Cavs pushed across 12 runs, backboned by a five run second inning.Â
FreshmanÂ
Garrett Laraia tallied a team high three hits, three runs scored and three stolen bases, while also driving in one. Sophomore'sÂ
Brian Protesto andÂ
JD Barrett, along with McKisson, drove in two RBI's each to lead the Blue and White. In total, eight different Cavs marked the hit column.Â
JuniorÂ
Kyran Weemaels toed the rubber in game two and turned in a quality start en route to his fourth victory of the season. The righty tossed six inning of two run ball and scattered seven hits. SeniorÂ
Tyler Ronayne and sophomoreÂ
Ray Lutick combined for the final three innings.
Delaware Valley Last Time Out: Delaware Valley 4, Wilkes 1 (4/18/19)
DelVal grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. After a single to left field, Timmy Lallis advanced to second on a Tom Crooks single, stole third, and scored on groundout to shortstop by Troy Lachenmayer.
Both teams went scoreless and hitless in the second and third, but Wilkes knotted the game at one apiece in the top of the fourth, Nicholas Capozzi scored on a sacrifice fly. After another scoreless inning in the fifth, the Aggies erupted in the sixth.
