Last Meeting: Cabrini 13, Eastern 1 (3/19/19)
Juniors Mack McKisson (2-4, 2R, 1RBI) and Justin Henry (2-4, 1R, 1RBI), along with Juan Familia (2-4) and senior Chris Santana (2-2) tallied a pair of hits each for the Cavaliers. Sophomores Garrett Laraia (1-1, 3R, 2RBI, 1SB) and Brandon Loner (0-3, 2RBI), as well as junior Steven Priest (1-5, 2R, 2RBI) all collected two RBI's.

The Blue and White received a strong start on the bump from senior Kyran Weemaels who tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just five hits, while striking out six. The victory was his second of the season.

Cabrini jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning thanks to an RBI single from McKisson and a pair of sac flies from Henry and Loner. An RBI single from Henry Peguero capped the inning for the Blue and White.

The Cavaliers added a run in the second and two in the third to push their lead to a comfortable seven runs in the early going and busted the game open in the sixth following a four run inning. Priest started the rally with a deep double to right center to plate McKisson and Laraia, while Peguero followed with another RBI double to right center to bring home Henry. An RBI ground out from Loner capped the Cavs' scoring in the inning.

Cabrini would go on to add two more runs in the top of the ninth and cruise to the eventual 13-1 final.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Gwynedd Mercy 10, Cabrini 9 (5/11/19)
The Cabrini baseball team wrapped up their 2019 baseball season as the Atlantic East Conference Runner Up after falling to Gwynedd Mercy University in game two of the best-of-three Championship Series by a 10-9 final.

The Cavs were led offensively Brandon Loner, who finished the day 2-3 with a run scored and a team high three RBI's. Steven Priest collected a team best three hits, while coming around to score twice. Tyler NorrisHenry Peguero, senior Joe Aurite, and junior Brendan Van Bell rounded out the Cavs with multiple hits.

Kyran Weemaels earned the start and opened with the game with a pair of scoreless frames, but the Griffins eventually got to the righty as they struck for three runs in the third and five in the fourth to chase him in an 8-8 tie. In total, Weemaels logged 3.2 innings and allowed eight earned, while striking out two.

Gwynedd would take the lead in the sixth, courtesy of an RBI double from Keen, and extend their lead to 10-8 following a seventh inning homer from TJ Brasier.

The Diamond Cavs mounted a seventh inning rally following a two out double from Aurite. Van Belle singled off the foot of the pitcher to put runners at the corners for Mack McKisson. The sophomore pulled a single through the right side for his first hit of the game, trimming the Griffins' lead to 10-9 in the process. Gwynedd reliever Brian Wildrick ended the threat, however, as he induced a groundout from Norris for the final out of the inning.

The Cavaliers would go down quietly in the eighth and ninth as Gwynedd hung on for the narrow 10-9 victory.

Eastern Last Time Out: King's 6, Eastern 5 (4/18/19)
After getting only four hits through the first six innings, the Eastern offense found life in the seventh.

Britton Lawrence singled to start the inning, and Micky Foytik walked to keep it going and force a pitching change. Brady DiGiacomo greeted the King's reliever with a single to load the bases. After a force out at home for the first out, Jordan Laboy drove in two with a single down the left-field line. Shane Albertson pulled a ball to the same spot to plate a run and put two in scoring position for Thomas Aguila. The rookie infielder delivered a single up the middle to drive in both Albertson and Laboy for the 5-4 advantage.

Lawrence came on to pitch a scoreless seventh and eighth inning for the Eagles, before giving way to Steve Sattanino in the ninth.

After retiring the Monarchs' Tyler Reynolds by way of a backwards K, the righty ran into trouble. A walk and single quickly put runners on first and second with only one out for John Adamski. Adamski delivered the tying run courtesy of a single to center. With first base open, the Eagles elected to walk Sean McKee to face Matt Dobeck. The former Cavalier worked out a bases loaded walk to hand King's the come-from-behind victory.
