Offensively, the Cavs totaled 10 hits, including two doubles, a triple and a homerun en route to the season high 19 runs. Freshman

Brendan Van Belle also finished with three RBI's, while adding two hits, including a double. Senior
Shaun Stackhouse rounded out the Cavs with multiple RBI's after finishing 0-2 with two runs and a stolen base.
After the Scots opened the game with a first inning run, the Cavs offense went to work as they pushed across five runs in the second and another run in the third to take a commanding 6-1 lead. McKisson's two RBI homer highlighted the early offense.
Alma added a pair of runs in their half of the third to trim the Cavs lead to 6-3, but a Cavalier run in the fourth and six runs in the fifth ballooned the Blue and White's lead to 12-3. The Scots would answer, however as they paired three runs in the bottom of the fifth and six runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull to within two at 14-12.
That would be as close as the hosts would come, however as the Cavs tacked on a run in the eighth and three more runs in the ninth for the eventual 19-12 final.
Following today's game, the Diamond Cavs improve to 5-4 overall. They will look to run their win streak to three when they face St. John Fisher College to close their spring break trip on Saturday, February 29th. First pitch is slated for 1:30pm.
