Freshman women’s lacrosse student-athlete Lacie Doubet was named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 8, 2012.

The rookie led the Cavaliers to a 1-1 week with 11 points on seven goals and four assists.

In an 18-9 loss at the University of Scranton, Doubet tallied three goals on just four shots.  She also recorded a team-high five draw controls and caused three turnovers.

The Cavaliers rebounded to hand Centenary its first Colonial States Athletic Conference loss 23-14.  Doubet led the Blue and White charge with eight points on four goal sand four assists.

Doubet’s eight points and four assists are the highest tallies for a Cavalier this season.  Her nine ground balls and eight draw controls are also 2012 Cabrini game highs.

On the year, Doubet leads the Blue and White with 38 points on 31 goals and seven assists.  Her 40 draw controls and 28 ground balls also rank as top on the team.

The Cavaliers will return to action Thursday as they travel to Florham, N.J. to face FDU – The College at Florham.  The action is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
