RADNOR, Pa. - Senior softball student-athlete Steph Diegel has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, April 5.Â
Last week, Diegel led the Blue and White to a 3-1 week with 9-0 and 10-0 wins over Rosemont and split at Immaculata, notching a 12-4 win, before falling 15-11 in extra innings. Â

The senior held a batting average of .466 through the four games and tallied seven RBI, seven hits and seven runs scored in 15 plate appearances.

In game one against Rosemont, Diegel hit a three run home run in the sixth inning to ice the Ravens. In game two, the senior went 2-2 and tallied a RBI in the win. In the win at Immaculata, Diegel notched three RBI on a pair of hits.

On the year, Diegel’s 24 RBI and 26 hits are good for first in the CSAC, while the senior's three home runs rank her third in the conference. The senior is seventh in the league with a .464 batting average and 16 runs scored.Â

Diegel and the Blue and White are back in action Friday when they welcome Centenary College (3-7, 2-0 CSAC) to Cabrini Field for a doubleheader. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
