Senior volleyball student-athlete Danielle Carrozza has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the opening week in the 2013-14 year.  Carrozza led the Cavaliers to a 4-0 mark at the DeSales University Invitational.

Carrozza was named Most Valuable Player of the two-day event after leading Cabrini with 57 kills and 10 service aces.  Her 36 digs also ranked second on the team.

The senior earned game-high honors in kills in three of the matches, including a 16 kill performance against Muhlenberg College.  Her five service aces against Ithaca College also marked a career high.

Carrozza and the Cavaliers will travel to Baltimore this weekend for the Greg Giovanazzi Memorial at Johns Hopkins University.  The Blue and White will face Stevenson and Johns Hopkins on Friday before facing Goucher and North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday.
