Senior women’s basketball student-athlete Meghan Martin has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, December 6.
Martin helped lead the Blue and White to a 2-0 week, after churning out one of her best individual performances of her four year career.
On Wednesday, Martin scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and added four steals and two assists in the 65-57 win over Centenary.
In Saturday’s 67-49 win at Rosemont, Martin scored a career high 26 points after connecting on 11-17 shots from the floor. Martin also added seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in the win.
On the year, Martin averages 8.7 points per game on 40.7 percent shooting. Martin provides the Cavaliers a strong defensive presence off the bench, as the senior is tied for second on the team with 10 steals.
Martin and the Blue and White (3-4, 2-0 CSAC) will travel to Ursinus College (4-3, 4-0 Centennial) on Thursday. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Collegeville, Pa.
