Sophomore men’s basketball student-athlete Jair Green has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, February 7.
Last week, Green averaged 22 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and two blocks in wins over Summit University, Immaculata University and Centenary College.
In Monday’s 110-83 win over the Defenders, Green posted a career high 28 points and 12 rebounds. On Wednesday, the sophomore recorded 17 points, three blocks and two steals to help his team capture an 83-72 win over the Mighty Macs. Green closed the week strong, helping the Blue and White earn a 78-71 win against the Cyclones, as the sophomore finished with 21 points, five rebounds and three blocks and steals in the win.
On the year, Green’s .514 field goal percentage, two blocks and 1.8 steals per game ranks first on the team, while his 17.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game are good for second on the team.
In the Colonial States Athletic Conference, Green ranks second in blocked shots, third in steals, fourth in points per game and sixth in field goal percentage.
