Senior women’s field hockey student-athlete Kerry Anne Farrell has been name the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the Week ending Sunday, October 11.
Farrell tallied 13 points to lead the Blue and White to a pair of victories over Delaware Valley and Keystone last week.
Against Delaware Valley, Farrell netted three goals and added two assists in the 7-0 win. The output marked a season-high eight points for the senior moving her to the top of Cabrini's goals and assists list.
Farrell broke the College's points record against Widener on September 18. Her three goals gave her 65 for her career, breaking Jessi Valerio's previous mark of 63. She also surpassed Lindsey Atzert's previous record of 23 assists with Wednesday’s two helpers, giving her 24 for her career.
In the 4-0 win over Keystone on Saturday, Farrell scored a goal and added three helpers. The senior recorded a career high 17 shots in the win.
On the year, Farrell ranks second on the team with 22 points and eight goals, while her six assists lead the team.
The senior sits in third place in the Colonial States Athletic Conference in points and assists, while her goals mark ranks fifth.
Farrell and the Blue and White (7-5, 3-0 CSAC) are back in action today when the team welcomes Gettysburg (4-7, 1-4 Centennial) for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game. The nonconference tilt is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
