RADNOR, Pa. – Freshman Jared Irwin has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, September 27.
Irwin guided the Blue and White to a 2-0 week with wins over Rosemont and Albright.
On Monday, Irwin scored a goal in the 56th minute, helping his team capture a 9-1 win against the Ravens.
Trailing by two goals to the Lions on Wednesday, the rookie found the back of the net in the 58th minute. In overtime, Irwin netted the game winner in the 97th minute, lifting the Blue and White to a 3-2 win.
On the year, Irwin ranks second on the team with four goals. The rookie’s four goals are also tied for fifth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while his eight points are tied for sixth.
Irwin and the Blue and White (6-1-2, 1-0 CSAC) will play Centenary (4-4, 1-0 CSAC) on Saturday in Hackettstown, N.J. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
