Senior volleyball student-athlete Kelly Guarino has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student0Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 30.
Gaurino tallied 42 kills, 52 digs and 13 service aces as the Cavaliers scored four victories to end the regular season.
The senior was a model of consistency last week, as she recorded at least nine kills and 11 digs in matching 3-0 wins over Clarks Summit, Immaulata, Lebanon Valley and Lancaster Bible.
Guarino paired 12 kills and 15 digs in a Cabrini’s Senior Night win over Clarks Summit and 12 kills and 11 digs at Lebanon Valley, marking her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the campaign.
On the season, Gaurino leads the Blue and White with 431 digs and 50 service aces, while her 230 kills are good for third.
Guarino and the Cavaliers (16-14, 11-0 CSAC) will begin defense of their three consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference titles on Thursday, as they host a CSAC Tournament semifinal match at 7pm in Nerney Field House.
Cabrini must wait for the results of tonight’s opening round matches to lead its opponent in Thursday’s semifinal. As the tournament’s top seed, the Blue and White will host the lowest remaining seed after tonight’s action.
