Women’s swimming student-athlete Lauren Sliva has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 16. The senior’s efforts helped the Cavaliers notch their first dual meet win of the season.

At Pitt-Bradford, Sliva posted a victory in the 200-yard freestyle (2:19.96) and joined teammates Melanie Felkner, Elyse Phillips, and Devin McKenna to take the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:54.56). Sliva’s time of 1:10.92 was good for a second place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
In her final meet at the Dixon Center Pool, the senior was triumphant in both the 100-yard freestyle (58.90) and 200-yaard freestyle (2:11.53). The quartet of Sliva, Kimberly Crowther, Rebecca Barrett, and Phillips finished the 200-yard freestyle relay in second place with a time of 1:54.56.
