Senior women’s basketball student-athlete Meghan Martin has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, February 28.
Last week, Martin averaged 23.3 points, three steals and 6.6 rebounds in CSAC Tournament wins over Rosemont, Gwynedd Mercy and Neumann.
In the 70-48 win over the Ravens, Martin scored 19 points, to go along with a career high eight rebounds and three steals and against the Griffins, Martin led the Blue and White to a 67-56 win, recording 20 points and five boards.
In Saturday’s 74-64 CSAC Championship victory over the Knights, Martin earned Most Valuable Player honors after scoring a career high 31 points, while adding seven rebounds and four steals, as the Cavaliers claimed their fourth consecutive conference title.
On the Year, Martin leads the CSAC in free throw percentage, as the sophomore is shooting .850 from the charity stripe. Martin also ranks fifth in the CSAC in scoring with 14.2 points per game.
Martin leads the Blue and White in points, shooting percentage and free throw percentage, while the senior's 2.1 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game are good for second and third on the Cavaliers, respectively.
