Freshman men’s basketball student-athlete Ivan Robinson has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, February 21.
The Cavaliers went 1-2 last week, falling 94-73 to Scranton on Monday, before scoring a 106-85 win at Neumann on Wednesday. The Blue and White closed its week with a home loss against Gwynedd, one that came down to the wire, as the Cavaliers fell 90-87.
Through the three games, Robinson averaged 17.6 points on 19-38 shooting, 4.6 assists, four rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
In Monday’s loss to the Royals, Robinson scored 14 points and added six assists and two steals. In the win over the Knights on Wednesday, Robinson recorded 13 points and two steals.
In Saturday’s loss to the Griffins, the rookie guard led the Blue and White with 26 points, while also adding a career high eight rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes of action.
Robinson leads the Cavaliers with 3.9 assists per game and ranks second and third on the team in steals and minutes, with 1.6 and 31.6, respectively. Robinson’s 12.9 points per game are good for fourth on the team.
