Women’s basketball player Annie Rivituso has been named CabriniAtheltics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 6. The junior helped the Cavaliers to a pair of home wins during the week with 12.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and a pair of steals.
In the Blue and White’s 63-45 win over Albright, Rivituso tallied a season-high 12 points on 5-9 shooting and paired seven rebounds with two steals. She followed that with a career game, as Cabrini topped Keystone 58-46. Rivituso matched a career-high with 13 points, all scored in the first half, and grabbed a career best 16 rebounds.
The junior has now scored double-figure points in each of her last four games and had secured at least seven rebounds in three of the last four. On the season, Rivituso averages 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
Rivituso and the Cavaliers will return to action on Wednesday when they welcome the Neumann University Knights to Nerney Field House. Game time is slated for 6:00 p.m. as the opener of a women’s and men’s doubleheader, as the men’s game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
