Men’s Basketball senior Jeremy Knowles has been selected as CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 27. The senior was instrumental in the Blue and White’s 3-0 week. For the week, Knowles led the club with 13.7 points in just 21 minutes of action. He added 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game.
In Cabrini’s 80-62 win over Centenary College, Knowles tied for game-high honors with 12 points, including 3-7 from three point range, along with three rebounds.
On Saturday, the senior posted a career high 29 points, as the Blue and White defeated Keystone 94-79. Knowles connected on a career best 11-19 from the floor, including 5-9 from deep. He also matched a career high with four steals in the win.
On the season, Knowles is one of four Cavaliers scoring in double figures with 12.1 points per game. His 35 three pointers, 38 steals and 11 blocked shots each rank second on the team. Knowles also ranks among the CSAC’s best in each category. He ranks second in the league with 2.0 steals per game, 9th in three pointers made (1.8), 12th in blocked shots (0.6) and 14th in points.
Knowles and the Cavaliers (14-5, 10-2 CSAC) will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Aston, Pa. to face the Neumann University Knights. The game is slated to begin at 8:00 p.m. following the women’s game.
