Junior men’s basketball student –athlete Aaron Walton-Moss was named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday December 1. Walton-Moss set a pair of career scoring highs in leading the Cavalier to a pair of wins last week.
The junior posted a career high 33 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals in a 98-79 victory over the University of Scranton on Tuesday. Walton-Moss hit 14-23 from the floor, including 3-5 for three point range, in 37 minutes of action.
In Cabrini’s 111-99 win over Widener on Saturday, the junior tallied 40 points on 14-20 from the floor and 12-14 from the free throw line, while adding five rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and a steal to his line for the afternoon. His 40 points were just five points of the program record for points in a game.
Through six games, Walton-Moss leads the CSAC with 27.5 points and 5.7 assists per game, while his 0.600 field goal percentage in the best in the league. The junior ranks third with 11.2 rebounds and eighth in free throw percentage at 0.860.
Walton-Moss and the No. 6 Cavaliers (6-0, 1-0 CSAC) will hit the road on Wednesday, as the club visits Marywood University. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Scranton, Pa.
