Junior men’s tennis student-athlete Sean Neary has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, April 20. Neary led the Cavaliers to a trio of victories, extending the team’s win streak to four matches.
Neary extended his personal singles win streak to six matches with three wins last week in the number three slot. The junior scored an 8-0 superset win over Bryn Athyn before downing Rosemont 6-1, 6-0 and Keystone 6-2, 6-1.
Neary also teamed with fellow junior Anthony DiCicco for three number one doubles wins on the week. The duo swept Bryn Athyn and Rosemont 8-0 and downed Keystone 8-3.
On the season, Neary's eight wins at the No. 3 flight are the second most in the conference, while his six CSAC wins are tied for most at the flight. Neary and DiCicco's seven overall wins and six conference wins are also tied for tops at the No. 1 doubles flight.
Neary and the Cabrini men (4-10) will visit Alvernia (8-8) today and Rutgers-Camden (6-5) on Thursday.
