RADNOR, Pa. – Senior women’s volleyball student-athlete Amy Guarino has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October19.
Last week, Guarino led the Blue and White to five victories, with 3-0 wins over Keystone College, Cedar Crest College, Marywood University, Wilkes University and William Paterson University. The senior recorded 28 kills, 76 assists and 42 digs through the five matches.
Guarino also recorded her ninth and 10th double-doubles of the season on Saturday, pairing 22 assists with 17 digs against Wilkes and 11 kills with 17 assists in the victory over William Paterson.
On the season, the senior ranks ninth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with 197 kills, while ranking second on the team with 166 assists and 227 digs.
The Blue and White (19-5, 8-0 CSAC) will look to add to its 13 match win streak on Thursday when it makes the trip to Langhorne, Pa. to take on the Cairn University Highlanders (11-14, 6-2 CSAC). First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
