RADNOR, Pa. – Junior men’s soccer student-athlete A.J. Bishop has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, September 6.

Bishop recorded a goal on three shots to help lead the Cavaliers to a 3-1 win over Penn State Brandywine on Tuesday.

The junior also led his team to a 2-1 win at Swarthmore on Saturday, after netting the game winning goal in overtime. Swarthmore created the first scoring chance in the extra period but Bishop’s shot from 18 feet out put the game to bed. Bishop also recorded a shot on goal in the scoreless tie against Widener on Sunday.

Bishop has started all three games for the Blue and White and is second on the team with four points on two goals.

The Cavaliers (2-0-1) will face DeSales (2-1) at Edith Robb Dixon Field on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
