Senior women’s soccer student-athlete Allie Vallen has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 2.
The senior led the Cavaliers to a pair of wins last week, extending its current win streak to four matches and pushing its Colonial States Athletic Conference unbeaten streak to 41.
Vallen scored her first two goals of 2016 as the Blue and White scored wins over Notre Dame of Maryland and Neumann.
The senior attempted four shots in Cabrini’s 2-0 win over Notre Dame of Maryland. In the 59th minute, Vallen was on the business end of a cross from junior Brittany Runyen, preserving the Blue and White victory.
In Saturday’s road win at Neumann, Vallen netted the only goal of the match. The senior completed a corner kick service from junior Taylor Tralie in the 57th minute. The senior recorded a match high and season high five shots in the win.
Vallen and the Cavaliers (4-5, 3-0 CAC) will hit the toad today, as they visit Keystone College (4-3-1, 2-1-1 CSAC). Game time is set for 4pm in La Plume, PA.
