Freshman Danica Giddens finished ninth overall in the 60m dash at the elite NYC Gotham Cup Jan. 15.

Giddens posted a time of 8.03 seconds in the preliminary heat before clocking a time of 7.95 seconds in the final grouping. Her performance ranks as one of the top times by a Division III student-athlete this season.

Thus far in 2009-10, Giddens has two first-place finishes to her credit. She finished with the top time in the 55m dash at the Ursinus College Winter Invitational (7.36) and the Ursinus Quad Meet (7.37).
