Senior P Liz Zimmer posted a perfect 2-0 record with a 1.40 ERA in two outings for the Cabrini softball team last week.

Zimmer guided Cabrini to a 6-3 victory in game two against Philadelphia Biblical University on April 20. She notched six strikeouts and surrendered just two earned runs en route to her ninth win of the season.

Zimmer did it on the rubber and at the plate versus Keystone College on Saturday, April 24. In addition to pitching 8.0 innings of one-run ball, she drove in the go-ahead and eventual winning run of a 2-1 victory in game one. Zimmer fanned three batters against the Giants.

Zimmer is enjoying a career-best season in 2010, boasting a 10-5 record overall and 8-0 mark against CSAC teams. She owns a team-best 2.28 ERA in 15 starts. Zimmer has tossed a club-high 11 complete games and two complete game shutouts.

Zimmer has earned a victory in each of her last eight starts. In nine appearances versus CSAC competition, she has tallied a stingy 1.54 ERA. She was named to the CSAC Honor Roll for the second time this season on Monday.

Zimmer was selected the CSAC Pitcher of the Week on April 12.
