RADNOR, Pa. – Sophomore Lindsay Savar has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, April 12.
Last week, Savar led the Cabrini softball team to a 4-1 week with a pair of wins at Notre Dame of Maryland (16-0, 14-1), a 6-0 win at home to Gwynedd Mercy and a split at Neumann (L-3-0, W 3-2).
Savar held a batting average of .461 through the five games, added a pair of home runs and tallied seven RBI.
Savar hit a grand slam home run against the Gators in game one, notched a SAC fly to ice the Griffins and tallied the eventual game winning home run in the fourth inning against the Knights.
On the season, Savar holds a .342 batting average and is third on the team with two home runs. The sophomore has also tallied 10 RBI, 13 hits and eight runs this season.
Savar and the Blue and White welcome the Centenary Cyclones (8-14, 7-1 CSAC) to Cabrini Field today in a conference doubleheader.
